Why does this cable incorporate a dielectric quad strength member?
The dielectric quad arrangement uses four glass-reinforced plastic rods placed symmetrically around the cable axis to provide robust tensile strength and crush resistance while remaining completely non-metallic. Because the strength member is dielectric, it eliminates electromagnetic interference and does not require grounding, making the cable ideal for installation near power lines, in substations, and in any electromagnetic-compatibility-sensitive environment where signal integrity must be maintained without adding conductive paths.
