What is “Heat-Resistant” PVC (90°C or 105°C) and when is it necessary?

Standard PVC is rated at 70°C. However, inside compact control panels where components generate significant heat, Heat-Resistant (HR) PVC (rated at 90°C or 105°C) is required to prevent the insulation from becoming brittle and failing over time.
