Strut Channel 41x21mm

Shallow-profile slotted strut channel (41×21 mm) for light-to-medium-duty MEP support, cable containment, and modular framing.
BS 6946, IEC 61537

Chinne Electric Strut Channel 41×21 mm is a cold-formed, shallow C-channel framing system for mounting cable trays, conduits, pipes, ductwork, and equipment brackets. At half the depth of standard 41×21 mm strut, it is ideal for low-clearance ceiling runs, wall-mounted supports, and restricted-depth M&E installations

Shallow 41×21 mm profile for installations where headroom or mounting depth is limited
Continuous slotted design with inturned lips for adjustable, bolt-in-place fixing along the full length
Compatible with standard 41 mm strut fittings, channel nuts, and Chinne support accessories

General information

Product Features

  • Shallow half-strut profile: 41 mm wide × 21 mm deep—approximately half the depth of standard 41×41 mm strut. Suited to light-to-medium-duty loads where reduced installation height is required.
  • Modular, weld-free framing: Continuous slotted channel with inturned edges allows channel nuts and brackets to be positioned anywhere along the length—no welding or site drilling for most connections.
  • Wide system compatibility: Works with standard 41 mm strut accessories including spring nuts, channel nuts, angle brackets, beam clamps, threaded-rod hangers, and pipe/clamp fittings.
  • Flexible installation: Suitable for wall, ceiling, and steel-structure mounting; layouts can be adjusted, extended, or reconfigured during installation or future upgrades.
  • Multiple duty ratings: Available in light-duty (typically 1.5 mm) and heavy-duty (typically 2.5 mm) wall thicknesses to match project load requirements.

Dimensions & Specifications

Strut Channel 41×21 mm is a shallow-profile channel support member within the 41 mm strut family. It shares the same 41 mm mounting width as standard 41×41 mm strut, enabling full accessory interchangeability while offering a lower profile for space-critical applications.

Technical Description

Strut channel is a modular metal framing system consisting of a cold-formed C-channel section with inturned lip edges and a continuous row of slotted holes. Brackets, channel nuts, and accessories lock into the inturned lips, creating secure, adjustable connections at any point along the channel without welding.

The 41×21 mm profile—often referred to as half-strut or shallow strut—is the lower-depth member of the 41 mm strut family. It provides the same 41 mm accessory interface as 41×41 mm standard strut but with reduced section depth, making it the preferred choice when:

  • Ceiling void depth is limited
  • Wall-mounted supports must sit close to the surface
  • Light-duty cable containment, conduit, or pipe support is required
  • A compact trapeze or hanger assembly is needed

In cable management applications, strut channel acts as the structural support framework from which cable trays, cable ladders, mesh trays, and conduit systems are suspended or wall-mounted—typically using threaded rod, trapeze brackets, or direct channel fixings. Strut systems are classified under channel support standards (BS 6946), while the cable trays and ladders they carry are governed by cable management standards such as IEC 61537.

Chinne Electric 41×21 mm strut channels are supplied in slotted and plain configurations, with material and finish options selected to match indoor, outdoor, and corrosive-environment project requirements.

Applications

  • Cable support: Suspended and wall-mounted supports for cable tray, cable ladder, mesh tray, and cable containment systems
  • Conduit & trunking: GI/EMT conduit runs, trunking, and cable containment mounting frames
  • Pipe & duct support: Light-to-medium-duty pipe clamps, HVAC duct hangers, and mechanical service supports
  • Electrical installations: Distribution board frames, panel mounting, busbar supports, and equipment brackets
  • Low-clearance areas: Shallow ceiling voids, corridor soffits, and restricted-depth plant rooms
  • Modular framing: Trapeze hangers, cantilever brackets, multi-tier support frames, and M&E coordination structures
